We want to make sure we are giving enough time to our scouts for their  advancement recognition, exciting events and WHOLE pack game time.  <\/p>\n<p>The Pack meetings are designed to be spent together as a Pack and while we are very active and have a lot going on we believe we have strong communication and can rely on:<\/p>\n<p> Notes handed out at the Pack Meeting<\/p>\n<p>Emails<\/p>\n<p>Slack App Texting: CLICK HERE (Actually Check your email so we don&#8217;t get spammers trying to join)<\/p>\n<p>If you ever have any questions about what you see in these notes or in an email you can always ask Jennifer Seeley (Committee Chair) directly or email her at nccubscoutpack83@gmail.com.<\/p>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Important Dates:<\/p>\n<p>1\/8\/19: January Pack Meeting, derby cars handed out<\/p>\n<p>1\/19: Holy Spirit Spaghetti Dinner, please wear Class A if you attend or volunteer.<\/p>\n<p>\tTo Volunteer: https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/20f054caeaf2eaafb6-spaghetti<\/p>\n<p>1\/26: Pinewood Derby Build Clinic &#038; Shed\/Trailer Clean-Up<\/p>\n<p>2\/5: Blue &#038; Gold Pack Meeting, dessert will be served, celebration of Scouting: starts @6:30pm<\/p>\n<p>2\/15: Pinewood Derby Movie &#038; Set-Up Night @ 6pm<\/p>\n<p>2\/16: Pinewood Derby Event 7:30am-Noonish, concessions served<\/p>\n<p>4\/12-4\/14: Yorktown Spring Camping Trip<\/p>\n<p>Pinewood Derby Build Clinic &#038; Shed Clean-Up:  Our Bears are heading up the PWD Build Clinic. If it\u2019s your first year or you need help with your car you are welcome to come for tips and pointers! We will have tools on site available for use.<\/p>\n<p>We also need help cleaning up the trailer and moving items into our shed.  This affects the whole Pack and we need volunteers to help us get organized.  We will be doing this at the same time as the PWD build clinic so if you are set with your car, please help us clean the shed\/trailer!<\/p>\n<p>Blue &#038; Gold: The Blue &#038; Gold is meant to celebrate the \u201cbirthday\u201d of scouting! We have a great night planned for you and your family! You are welcome to bring family &#038; friends! This will be held during our February Pack Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Blue &#038; Gold Dessert Contest: Once again we will have a dessert contest with prizes to give!<\/p>\n<p>You can participate in one of the below categories:<\/p>\n<p>Best Scout Theme<\/p>\n<p>Most Patriotic<\/p>\n<p>Best Tasting<\/p>\n<p>Best Overall Design<\/p>\n<p>Best Animal Design<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer Help with Pack:  We are searching for a new Committee Chair to take over officially 1\/1\/2020.  That may seem far away  but you would start working with the new Committee Chair now to help with all the big events so you will be ready to take over 100% next January.   If you are interested please email Jennifer Seeley at seeleyfamilyof4@hotmail.com<\/p>\n<p>Committee Chair Role &#038; Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Maintain a close relationship with the chartered organization representative and the chartered organization to cultivate harmonious relations and maintain communications.<\/p>\n<p>Confer with the Cubmaster on policy matters relating to Cub Scouting and the chartered organization.<\/p>\n<p>Supervise pack committee operation by<\/p>\n<p>\u2014  Calling and presiding at pack leaders\u2019 meetings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014  Assigning duties to committee members.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014  Planning for pack charter review, roundup, and re-registration.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Approving bills before payment by the pack treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>Conduct the annual pack program planning conference and pack leaders\u2019 meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Ask the committee to assist with recommendations for Cubmaster, assistant Cubmasters, and den leaders, as needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recognize the need for more dens, and see that they are formed as needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Work with the chartered organization representative to provide adequate and safe facilities for pack meetings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Cooperate with the Cubmaster on council-approved money-earning projects so the pack can earn money for materials and equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If the Cubmaster is unable to serve, assume active direction of the pack until a successor is recruited and registered.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Appoint a committee member or other registered adult to be responsible for Youth Protection training.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop and maintain strong pack-troop relationships, and work closely with the unit commissioner and other pack and troop leaders in bringing about a smooth transition of Webelos Scouts into the troop.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Support the policies of the BSA.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Make recommendations regarding pack leadership to the chartered organization for final approval of pack leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recruit the Cubmaster and one or more assistant Cub masters, with the chartered organization approval.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Coordinate the pack\u2019s program and the chartered organization\u2019s program through the chartered organization representative.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Help with pack charter renewal.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Help stimulate the interest of adult family members through proper programming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a recap of the meeting from 1\/8\/19:<\/p>\n<p>ACK 83 BUSINESS UPDATES<\/p>\n<p>January 2019<\/p>\n<p>_________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Due to the length of our Pack Meetings and age range of our kids we have decided to no longer discuss business items at the Pack Meeting.
